Detox Diet

I’m on day 2 of my detox diet. My friends are doing a raw food diet for 2 weeks which is too hard for me because I have absolutely no time to prepare food. Instead I am doing a mostly raw, organic, no preservative, no starch, no carb diet. Well, I get carbs from the veggies but no rice, pasta, bread, etc. I also cut out all sugary stuff except  a little agave syrup or maple syrup to sweeten stuff. I’m allowing some cooked vegetables if I get bored of the raw food but I’m trying to be raw as possible. No dressings unless I make it myself with braggs, apple cider vinegar, garlic, olive oil, etc.

In the recent years coffee became my daily treat. I put a little agave and soy creamer and I feel like I’m getting away with dessert. Cutting out the daily treat has been hard. Instead I have been making interesting smoothies twice a day. I also feed on Dr. Shulze Super Food Bars. It took awhile getting used to it but now I can eat them for dinner. We’ll see how long this will last. I’m hoping to go the 2 weeks my friends are doing it but we shall see.

I did do a long cleanse a few years ago where I ate 15 days of solid liquid then 15 days of raw/organic. I lost a lot of weight and felt great! I’m wimpy now.

    Remember to get plenty carbs from fruit!! (never can have too many!!)
